Cutting Auto Insurance Will Not Save Your Budget

There are people out there living paycheck to paycheck.  They tend to cut what seems like unnecessary expenses in order to make the money last through the week (or month).  Many times, even when it is the law, people will cut the auto insurance payments hoping to save a few bucks.

The only time you should ever consider skipping the automobile insurance is if you get rid of the automobile.  The cost of not having insurance will far out weigh the expense of getting and keeping the insurance in the first place.

The fines that you will pay for driving with out insurance will be as much, if not more, than many of the basic auto insurance premiums you would have to pay.  You may also end up having to pay for your vehicle being towed and impounded.

The risk of injury - financial and personal - is too great to ignore.  Driving without automobile insurance means that there is no protection if you have an accident (even if you are not the one to cause the accident).  If you do cause an accident and are not protected by insurance then you will end up paying out of your pocket for property damage and medical expenses for all those involved in the accident.  You will also have to pay for your own lawyer if the incident proceeds to court.

Skipping the automobile insurance may seem like an easy way to save a few dollars in your budget today.  But in the end the lack of having automobile insurance will cost far more than it saves.
